Front dif fluid

Just had my oil changed and check fluid levels , what should the front dif fluid look like , mine is green foamy and thick had to use a tie wrap to find the fluid

Looks normal.  The gear marking compound used in the front at assembly gives the fluid a milky look.

 

1.51 quarts of 75w90 synthetic is what you need.  NO additives.

Yes, this is normal.  It was the same way when I changed out the front diff fluid on our 2016 Suburban.  Just drained and filled back up with Severe Gear 75w-90.

should you be able to see the fluid , we had to use a tie wrap to find the fluid, couldn't get fluid with finger

It should be just about to the opening of the fill hole.  I filled my front until the fluid started to run out and then let it go until it stopped then put the fill plug back in.

Same as the other guys, fluid was milky green/gray when I did mine at 60k.  Not much material on the magnetic plug though.  

 

Oddly enough, transfer case DID have a good amount of material on its magnetic plug.  Seems that is normal too.
