Fob outside with truck running

Is there a way to disable the 3 honk alert when the truck is running and you step outside with the fob in your pocket?  It is extremely annoying.

Go into the vehicle settings section on the infotainment and turn off “remote left in vehicle alert”...it doesn’t say it, but turning that off also disables the horn honks you are having when the remote leaves the running truck.

Did that today.

Hated it when the truck honked at me when my wife was in there with her keys in her purse.

yeah that shit scared the piss out of me first cpl of times.....thanks @OnTheReel…..I was trying to disable it other day

 

I did learn I can roll all my windows down with fob....last truck was 05 so I am bit behind the times

That feature makes me way too nervous and I turned it back off. If you can pocket dial people on an old cellphone, you can pocket roll your windows down in a rainstorm. I’ve already accidentally opened the tailgate while I was working on stuff and bumping the fob in my pocket.

yeah I don't really need it cept maybe for summer.....I haven't had any issues like that yet, but I don't keep my keys in pants pocket so idk.....
