2020 Elevation crew cab 4x4

Hey guys,

never purchased a new truck, nor have I ever owned a GMC. I’ve been in my f150 for the past 10 years. Was looking to possibly scoop up a good deal amid the pandemic.  Locally, the Elevation 4wds I’m looking at are listed at about 24% ish below their listed msrps, which puts them around $39k-42k.

is that about what I should be expecting? The salesman at multiple dealerships are sAying all rebates are already offered. Seems like they aren’t even trying to entice me to head over to see them.  What ish price should i be shooting for? Is 24-25% about right? Any direction would be appreciated

That seems like a real good price.  I bought my 2020 Elevation in December for $45,500 with a sticker of $55,000.  Ask them to throw in a front clear bra (you absolutely need it with a painted front end on the elevation), and call it a great deal! (BTW, if you haven't tried the 3.0 diesel, do it before you make your decision.  It is awesome!)

I paid right at 43k for mine after tax, tag, and title fees. And that was with a double cab. So I'd say that's a pretty darn good deal. But I've heard they are redoing the interior on the 2021 models, so maybe they are just trying to push the 2020's out to make room.

I read the interior redesign has been pushed off by a year due to the ongoing virus situation

Would make sense. I don't keep up with the latest information on redesigns. I'll start looking back into it when a few more generations pass and I'm ready to get a new truck. Haha

That was one of the things I was kind of holding off from buying a new one myself. Still have a few good years in my 2012. These damn things cost so much you have to get your money's worth!

Exactly. I wasn't even in the market for a new one. But the deals they had going on right now were sounding too good for me to turn down at least look and kick some tires.

Looking turned into buying..

Well, I guess it’s a good thing. You always hear these stories about people going in there and haggling them down blah blah. I guess I was just expecting different. Figured they be trying sell their souls right now to sell a truck

24% off MSRP is a sweet deal ..only thing is what kind of APR are you getting ?  Are they trying to gouge you there?

They are trying to sell them. To keep the income going. But they aren’t going to give them away. On a regular day talking a dealer down to low 40k on a low 50k brand new truck is next to impossible. And I’m sure most of this “help the economy” business is just to get people going in to look. It worked on me and the 7 other people that had bought brand new trucks that week when I went in.

You will have zero wiggle room when you go in. Trust me I tried. All I could get out of them was a little more on my trade and a full tank of gas. Haha
