Fronet wheels locking up

Last week I bought a 95 2wd Chevy. On the way home the front wheels kept getting tighter and tighter. Eventually I tried leaving a red light and the truck didn't move. It just sat there spinning the back tires. I got it to a parking lot where it cooled and worked normally again. Thought it was the brakes. It had new pads and rotors. So I replaced the calipers and lines. That seemed to fix the problem for a few days. This morning on my way to work they locked up again. I was told they just replaced the driver side wheel bearing but I haven't verified.  What could be causing this? I NEED HELP

First, you need to diagnose where the problem is.  Is it the brakes, or is it the wheel bearings?

How would I go about that? When it happens it is too hot to touch. When it cools off, the wheel frees up and I can drive again. I do know that the first time it happened I could smell the brakes
