Remote Start Help

Hey all,

I bought my 2015.5 new in late 2016. When I bought it, I asked the dealer to add remote start for me. They initially told me alls they had to do was enable it and it would be no sweat $150 OTD. They hummed and hawed and eventually told me that my truck did not have the right hardware for factory remote start and it would be a ton of money to add it. I declined and forgot about it.

I'm working on the AA/CP addition right now and while I'm at it, started thinking about remote start again. Is there an RPO code or something that I should look for to know whether or not I have the hardware already? I've looked for a homebrew factory remote start addition guide and couldn't find one that was actually comprehensive.

I know that theres a hood latch that needs to be installed, but don't know what else needs to be added. My VIN ends in FZ326694 if that helps.

You have RPO code AQQ which is for lack of a better term, remote start prep. You can add the factory kit. Kit p/n is 84650896. You would have to install the provided hood latch and wiring on your 2015. If the dealer were to do it, the labor time for the kit is wrong for your year truck. Install time is 1.5 hours.
