I recently had a magna flow muffler installed and it doesn't sound much louder than factory. I was wondering if anyone else has tried a flow master super 44 , a 40 series or a borla atak crate muffler on their 2019 5.3L? If so any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

The Borla Atak will be the loudest option other then a muffler delete and it’s still won’t be super loud with the factory system. I have a Borla Atak crate muffler with Texas Speed Longtubes and it is loud. I ended up putting an oval Xr1 in front of it to tame it down. Sounds perfect now. Hard to beat that Borla sound. Flowmasters are a completely different design internally. The chambered mufflers will tend to drone at certain rpms.

I went with a Dynomax Ultra Flo oval. Perfect sound imo. Out of the two you listed I would go with Borla. Flow masters sound like crap and drone way too much. It’s all up to you though.

I have a 19 Silverado LT and installed the Flowmaster FlowFX. For $600, its a complete stainless cat-back. It drones a little bit through.  When you give it gas it sounds amazing. There are some good videos on youtube.
