Welp. New Engine or used or something

Anyone able to get ahold of a remanufactured 6.2 for a 2014 Silverado? At 107,000 miles mine had a valve keeper break (suspected) and during diag something fell down into the oil pan and shot through the pan and part of the block. Shop in Decatur, AL is saying only option is brand new from GM? Also, when’s the class action lawsuit. I’m the 4th person in my group of friends that’s had a 6.2 completely fall apart on them.

Explain to me how something fell down into the oil pan during diag please.

Good Luck convincing a class action on a historically reliable engine family. The engine was 6 years old and had nearly 107K miles on it.

Plus your story of a engine failing during a diagnostic shooting through a engine block and the oil pan is suspect. You and your friends should evaluate maintenance and operation habits because I know two law enforcement fleets with over 200 vehicles with zero engine failures in 6 years.

That's what I was going to say. Sounds like him and his friends are rough on these engines. I can honestly say I have never seen one of these fail as far as the engine itself. Again, if something fell during diagnostics... How is that an engine failure? Sounds like a user failure.
