Surprising Loss of MPG After Leveling Kit Install - AT4 with 5.3L

I used to get 10.0 mpg, now I get 9.0 towing the specific trailer and load mentioned above.  FWIW, I could give a damn what I get as gas is damn near free at current commodity pricing.  I just wish I had a larger fuel tank [emoji6] .  Even if gas pricing raises up to where it should be I could care less as it's a minimal/insignificant amount of money.  I'm actually attracted to vehicles that have the "worst" fuel economy as they generally offer higher performance.

I track my Z06 Corvette on a regular basis and I get right at 3.8 mpg on track which only allows me to run ~40 minute track sessions on a full tank of fuel.  I wish the car had a larger capacity so I wouldn't have to pit so frequently/early for fuel.  FWIW, I get right at 24 mpg from the Corvette cruising down the highway with the cruise set at 83 mph with 650 hp/650 lb-ft available.
Mpg increases range[emoji6] i dont care about the cost of fuel, i car that i can go 500+ miles to a tank

FWIW consider yourself lucky. I lost 2mpgs with just the level and tires. Most loose 3mpgs.

REALLY? jeez I normally per the DIC would average 16-17 mpg with mixed city/highway. Now im sitting at 13-14.5 on the regular. 2'' level with 33x12.5 im shocked as well that it would make such a difference. I thought it was attributed to me opening the exhaust flapper.

Yessir.
These trucks like the lower factory rake when it comes to mpgs. One thing you can do to gain maybe a mile or better is a hard bed topper. That has always worked for me. I just don't consider it as an investment as it really doesn't matter to me.

Good to know, I have a GM soft bed cover on right now. Granted I also removed my lower air dam too. Didnt like the look with it being leveled. Oyeeee.
