Steering rack

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. My mechanic told me about 6 months ago that my steering rack would have to be replaced.  Yesterday I noticed losing my power steering and I think I have to get it done now. Is anyone aware of a recall because this will cost me 2,400.00 out if pocket.

yes... but have no diagrams to troubleshoot...maybe you coud lead me to a link for squematics diagrams... ihave a 2015 chevy silverado electronic rack installed... and i want to follow the power supply source back to the main fuses block and others small signals related.
