pacodiablo Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Some wanna be cops are dumb. I hope the rangers are sent to prison. I don't care if they strut around with a badge and a flashlight, what they did was assault and abuse of power, plain and simple.
99silveradoz71 Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 I'd be anxious to see any type of report the rangers wrote on the incident. I could see them possibly taking him down if they felt he was going to the truck for a weapon. But even if that was the case(I'm not saying it was), you have to know when to de-escalate and "turn it off". They definitely didn't even come close to that, and it seems that even the initial use of force was unjustified. Interesting to see how it all pans out. It's just a shame that the few ruin the image of the many(who do the job right).
Wingnut Posted November 18, 2003 Author Posted November 18, 2003 Yeah....I usually take the side of the cops on matters like that. They have to be ready for everything. (Which is why I don't budge an inch in any direction until told to do so by the "arresting officer".) But with with the accounts given from bystanders, I'm going to have to go the other way on this one. Even with the extreme bias with which that article was written, I think it's a pretty clear case of pi$$-poor judgement on the part of the popo....(PPJPP).
SnakeEyeSS Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 hopefully Those rangers will get to learn what real justice is!
