Howdy y'all. First post here. Just bought a new to me 2015 2500HD WT. It's plain vanilla, but that's what I wanted. My question for all of you 6.0 owners: how long does it take for your truck to reach operating temperature? Mine rises to just under 210 probably within 5 to 7 minutes after first starting. It never goes over 210 though. Plenty of coolant in the reservoir. This seems a good bit faster than my 5.3. Also, it has been in the low to mid 90s here in TX. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is the same....normal operating range is around 210, I’ve never seen it go below or really above it either.
Does it get up to temp pretty fast? Maybe I'm just used to the 5.3 or overanalyzing since it's a new truck?

Fun fact is that the 210 in the cluster really isn't even 210, it's more like 190-195 in those GEN 4 6.0 engines. Like when it passes the 160 mark it's really about 20-30 degrees cooler than that.

Takes about 2-3 miles getting out of my neighborhood to reach operating temp in the summer, that probably takes 5 minutes or so. In the winter months it takes my whole drive work haha, which is 4 miles away and even then it's barely getting there.
