2014 silverado 1500 transmission problems

My truck skip on first gear and then jump to third gear making a terrible noise and also stays neutral at traffic light when i accelerated the trucks jumps. I don’t know what to do GM dealer told me my truck it was out of warranty by 1500 miles and now is 157,000. To fixed this issue it will cost me over 4K which i dont have. Anyone can give me any suggestions on how to see if GM can fixed this for me cause ive being doing some research and a lots 2014 has the same issue. Thanks

Find a local shop to make the repairs. You probably be out of pocket about two grand 2500.

If it was me I’d just swap the transmission out

You’d have a better shot at winning the lottery then trying to get GM to replace a transmission with 157000 miles under warranty. I’d say find a transmission shop that will do 6 months same as cash or trade that ****** in.

If it was me I’d just swap the transmission out

Yep rebuilds start at 2k or so. Depending on the shop.

Yeah definitely i would do that and im going to check dodge and ford and do my homework.
