I need some help.  I want to calm down the rear end a little on my stock 2020 RST.  Can I install 5100's?  Will I notice any difference in just the rear?  Can I do this without needing an alignment or anything?

Sorry, new to trucks.  Better tires helped the ride quite a bit but the rear still feels a little crazy over bumps.

I put 5100's on my 2019 RST and it has helped quite a bit.  I have the fronts on order.

Awesome thanks.  Pretty easy driveway job?

The rears are easy!  30 minute job.  The fronts no way!  I will have those installed and an alignment done.

Yeah I meant the rears.  Thanks!  I think I might get some.

The adjustable fronts? If so where did you order from?

4 wheel parts.  I ordered last week.  I hope to have them in the next few days.  They arrived at the warehouse in TX yesterday.

Did you need to jack it up?  Any crazy tools needed for the rear?  Do they need to be compressed or anything?

No special tools needed.  Just a socket and a wrench.

Last question lol - do they need to be torqued to any specific spec?

Probably.  I just tightened them up without over doing it. I have changed the rears on several trucks and have not had any issues...

You will need 21mm wrench and 1/2" ratchet wrench to get them off. i jack up the rear to make it easier to get underneath and take off the bolts.

I have noticed a huge difference in the rear end since installing these shocks. I have the fronts on order as well.

You don’t need to jack the truck up to swap them out. Just a 21 mm socket and wrench. Just need to muscle up the new shock to get it to align on the bottom mount. No biggie though.

hope you enjoy them!
