I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 extended cab. I started it the other day and immediately heard a thud underneath my seat. After driving a few blocks, I notice the smell of gas. I pull over and gas is just steadily leaking underneath near the middle of the truck. It eventually stops, so I try to start it to get it home. Has a hard time turning over but eventually does but the leaking starts all over again. Decided to tow it back. Any ideas?

note, if you find the fuel lines are rusted out, you probably should inspect the brake lines, as they are made of similar material, and are in a similar location, so they likely will have similar rust.  It makes for an exciting ride when a brake line fails.
