Is this temperature sensor the same as the "pill" device associated with the transmission that others have posted on here about disabling/ or reversing lines?

No. But nice try.

Ok, comment makes me think you thought I'm trying to get away with something ( a bit confusing to me when I'm trying to diagnose my truck)

Can you explain the joke in your head?

That doesn't help any

The Temp sensor is attached to the wiring harness on underside of your transmission.  The 2015-2016's had a string of Bad ones made in Mexico.

Thanks, I've watched videos of replacing now b/c of curiosity... Needs transmission oil drained to get to it so I'll get new fluid/ filter out the deal too( I'm planning on requesting Mobil 1 black label?)

Thanks Matt ?

A joke in my head that is only funny to me. Not to worry. :)

If we all knew what was floating around in the dark corners of Grump's head, then we might all need therapy.

If it means that much to you. :)

There are several active threads on the thermostat and one got a bit heated over it's effectiveness. This sensor, batch of bad parts a given, like all electronics is sensitive to heat.....

While we welcome newcomers we also get Trolls looking to start some trouble finding ammo in threads were tensions are already high. Given your low post count and the recent debate it crossed my mind that this may be a troll post from that party. Maybe not...but....ya never know. Thus I gave a one word answer and then wiggled the worm to see if troll season was open.

It was not.

My last three therapist are all mad as hatters now and resting quietly at Bellevue.

Gotcha, I'm just hoping to gain some knowledge on the items in case the dealership decided to give me a run around I can have a intelligent conversation and get it handled...been a electrician 24 years so I understand alot about electronics and being built in Mexico then submerged in hot oil is a recipe for disaster.

Thanks
