In my search for a shell for my truck I ended up ordering a ARE CX Revo but a few days later I came across the RSI Smartcap Evo and was really blown away by the quality and what it offered over the standard fiberglass shells. After trying to find more info and even reaching out directly to RSI I couldn't find anything beyond the studio shots from them. Regardless i went out on a limb and snagged one.

Overall this is by far the nicest shell i've seen and the quality is well worth it.

Happy to share detailed photos or more info if anyone is interested

I’ve been looking into these as well but have found limited info. I did email them asking about the rear view mirror camera that I have in my truck but of course it will not work with this cap or any other cap manufactured right now. That’s the only thing holding me back on ordering a cap. It does look kick ass on your truck though. Post some more pictures when possible.

Mind posting more pics?

Sadly this looks like another case of either a troll (this was first and only post) or another poster who posts and never checks back in or provides follow up information. I checked the poster's profile and he/she/they/them hasn't visited the site since February.

I just checked the RSI website and it shows them on backorder for the 5'8" bed.

i looked into this last month. its made in australia or new zealand? dealer support is thin and actual knowledge is as well. my big concern would be warranty issues and/or needed parts later.. just my 2 cents.

Had one on my last F150.  Good and bad.  Strength is unreal, I had mounted a CVT RTT on a full length rack and traveled all over Alaska.  Main issues- leaks at the window seals.  RSI provided new seals that supposedly fix the issue, sold the truck and removed the cap so didn't test it.  Latches also easily freeze with the slightest bit of moisture and are impossible to open.  Overall I will buy another one for my Sierra when it arrives, not many caps on the market can handle that kind of weight and abuse.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
