I’m picking up my AT4 next week and need to make a decision on putting my plow on it. Who is plowing with their AT4?  What plow are you using?  I currently have a Sno-way but their mount hangs pretty low. I’m thinking about going to a Western for their flush mount. Pictures of your mount would be great.

AT4 can't get plow prep.  So you really should be putting no plow on there at all.

If you truly must, any of the 1/2 ton specific ones.  I'd avoid a V due to weight.

The Fisher ematch system doesn’t require a plow prep for any 1/2 ton trucks to install their new specifically designed ezv plow for 1/2 tons. It is recommended you add proper ballast in the bed.

A coworker has a Fisher 6.5” pro plow on his 20 Trail Boss, hasn’t plowed with it yet but it’s all set up and ready to go.

With the AT4 and TB not able to get the plow prep package from GM would there be any warranty issues?

I spoke with the dealer about mine.  GM doesn’t recommend plowing with the turbo 4. Dealer plow install guy states not sure why though and he didn’t see why not outside of lack of plow prep, (which he states is a hard to find option on a 1500 anyway).  Trans is the same as the V8 and engine has more power than the 4.3, so don’t see why it couldn’t handle a light plow.  I’m currently scheduled to have a snowdogg MD put on mine on the 23rd.  If you guys know anything about this I’d love some input.

Just to update this thread, I went with the Western. They have the best plow mount in my opinion and you don’t lose any ground clearance with it.

Western HTS is a very nice plow. Very light but can push a ton of snow. I loved how the brackets come off in summer and nothing is hanging down.

The ONLY negative I noticed compared to the old unimount I used to have, it doesn't lift as high. So its a little harder to make big piles. But you won't be dissappointed in its ability to move the white stuff.

Would it be possible to post close pictures of the mont, curious to see how much was cut out of facia and did they cut into the bumper?

Most likely has to do with cooling. The 2.7 has in intercooler for the turbo which needs sufficient air and I imagine the blade in front would block it. Can't say for sure but I am willing to bet that is the case. Someone may know for sure.
