Ok my 2013 silverado already is customed tuned with hptuners software but I want to shut off the speed limiter can I do that with a hand held programmer without having to mess with the tune it has now

Changing the speed limiter with HP Tuners again would be nothing but a few clicks of the mouse.

Is it worth spending all the money on another handheld tuner just to do only that change? And what I don't know, can only the speed limiter be changed or is it part of a whole new file that it is included.

And fair warning here, if you are still running the stock rear driveshaft you are playing with fire going over 100mph. They are known to explode and cause massive amounts of damage to the fuel tanks and transmission tail housings or transfer cases. Sometimes even needing a whole new T-case or transmission.

It has 4:56 gears with detroit tru-trac not the stock grenade 80 and my silverado is customed tuned from a speed shop around in my area I just want to set it atleast 110 not the whole 120 or above

Going 110 or 120 is fine, I was just telling that they aren't rated above 100mph so take that for what it's worth.

Personally I think going back to the place that tuned it is the best bet, it's not like they actually have to do anything but set the limiter higher than 98mph.

The op doesn’t mention tire size or if the drive shaft been changed. Drive shaft speed may already be an issue.

Drive shift will be changed in the near future I just want it at 110 or 120 I don't think thats fast enough to damage anything and it will be getting speedo shut off from where it was tuned awhile back

Plenty of guys have said that on here this year alone, even boasted about it and then the next came back after exceeding that magic number with tales of woe.  You can't change the rules of math.  I think the magic number was 112 mph but forget those trucks' configurations.  It's on here somewhere though.

Well the limiter is set at 318mph and also got it fixed for tire size so ill be deleting  this post
