Lights on mirrors

This may be a dumb Question but are those lights on the front of the mirrors and if they are how do you turn them on?

Yes - Task Lighting - manual can describe how to use them, but you have to be stopped, and there is a button on the panel on the left of the steering wheel...

 

Useful for spotlighting teenagers getting to close...

Found these by accident while changing my front signals to LED the other day. Don't really know what they'd be useful for but they're pretty cool anyways.

F150 Had them for a few years now so you know GM had to get on board. Same thing with the little tow lighting in the tailgate. I'm not mad at them either 

 

They do come in handy once in a while  as it can work forward and when you fold mirrors , to your right/left
