1. This vehicle has over 180,000 miles, and has been maintained very well. Recently the oil pressure light comes on and dings, stating I need to shut the engine off. The oil level is fine. Took to shop, they stated oil sensor issue/oil sending unit problem. Said it was too costly to repair, and that my engine is just old and worn. Vehicle is also ticking very loudly due to the lifters not receiving enough oil.

2. The Stabilitrack system keeps coming on and off which leads to the vehicle stalling.

3. Transmission has been serviced but vehicle still clunks really bad when down shifting.

4. Motor mounts have been fixed 3 times.

5. Air Bags have been replaced

I need to know if this vehicle is worth getting the repairs, for just donating it. I don't think I can sell it because it will not pass smog.

That is down right depressing.  The engine should have been good for 300,000 miles.  Did this engine have AFM?

I have a very clean 01 Avalanche. Well maintained with 174K miles. If the engine went bad I’d replace it. You’re options could be less because it has the 6.2. If cylinder deactivation is in the picture I’d get it rebuilt.

Good possibility it's the oil pickup tube o-ring. Wouldn't be the first one. And I am sure it won't be the last one.

I was thinking the same thing.  Not a hard thing to fix or cost from what I understand.
