Excuse me but I'm new to all of this. I have a 2007 sierra classic. I lost the motor and replaced it. Since then I've been able to scan codes. Well idecided to remove my factory manual seats and install power leather. I hadn't hooked them up yet. Well that's all I have changed and when I hook the scan tool up the obd port powers the tool so therefore the fues is good but it has no communication at all do you suppose that the seats need to be plugged it. Also I have a aftermarket head unit and when I scan i have to pull fues

First, I assume you meant to type "since then, I haven't been able to scan codes"...

 

When you swapped motors, what did you swap between (what was the old motor, what is the new motor)?

Did you swap computers running the engine at the same time?

Did you keep the original transmission?
