I'm pretty sure you can use the gauge to set it up (ie. choose your power level), then you don't have to leave it connected after that? The Derringer cable connects to the iDash and the IDash cable plugs into the OBDII port. If you pull that iDash cable how does the derringer communicate with the truck?
