2020 RST Tires...Really Goodyear?? Really GM??

I have a 2020 6.2 RST that came factory with the Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT. I am a bit disappointed in the wet and snow traction. I am looking for another all terrain alternative that is possibly 3 peak mountain rated. I've always been a Bridgestone guy, however the Falkin Wildpeak AT3W and Toyo AT3 have caught my eye. I appreciate all the feed back from some real world driving. FYI I am in Minnesota and see winter climate roughly 5 months.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W, absolutely.  Had a set on my 2014 for nearly 68k miles.   Excellent tires, best wet traction I've had on a set of tires.

Cooper AT3 4S is what I have on my 2020 RST. Transferred them from my 2016 as I had just bought em last year and with 15k on em they still do really well in all conditions and they are 3 peak rated.

Feel the same way about the Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunners.  I went with Hankook Dynapro AT2s

Have the OEM 20" Bridgestones on my 2020 RST CC and I like them a lot.....

Good comfortable ride and they seem to handle just fine in the snow.

This might be not very popular but I like the firestone distention A/T. I live ND and if you ask me its worse than MN. Icey roads because we don't salt, and drift are so bad because of the wind

They don't look very aggressive and ride pretty good. I can also tell you stay away from the Bridgestone dular revo they are horrible in winter worst tires I have ever bought.

 

 

Those two brand I have experience with, another brand that I see alot at work parking lot is the hankook Dyno pro. I don't have personal experience with those tho

I live in FL and the Goodyear Trailrunner ATs are a great looking tire for pavement, dirt, or wet road use.

 

If you want an off road tire, buy something else.

I peeled the stock tires of my Elevation in he first week and installed a set of Goodyear Duratrac's. This is the 3rd set I have owned. I'm very happy with them and they are snow rated so I they cover my requirements for insurance (we get a better rate if we have snow tires) I still plan to get another set of rims and a dedicated Snow tire but due to Covid I don't drive to work everyday so that can wait.

Every new car I’ve ever owned, 6-7 I’d guess have come with total junk tires except for 1. I just budget for new tires when buying. Wife’s equinox was the worst, it had ultra high performance tires like you’d expect on a Camaro, it’s a freaking Mom-mobile, put some good all season tires on it GM
