Driving home the other night a "Reduced Power" notice popped up on the dash and the truck started to slow down. Typically I have experienced a vehicle enter limp mode and still be "drivable". This time, the throttle would response. The truck rolled to a stop, shut off, and began throwing all sorts of error messages up. i put the truck in park and tried to restart the truck a few times and nothing happened. Kept the truck in park, opened the door to shut everything off and she fired back up and threw an emissions notice. I drove the truck home and turned it off and back on and the check engine light went away. What the hell is going on? I do run a Derringer and Pedal Monster but they are designed to fail safe and restore factory settings. Anyone else go through this?

Exactly what happened to me, although mine wouldn't start back up.  130 miles on the truck..  Battery cable to Fuse Block was the culprit.  was not tight from the factory and started melting the fuse block. ;(.

What code(s) are stored in there?  If you got a "service DPF" or some other emissions warning, there should be a code stored.

DEF level ok?

DEF level causes speed limit, rather than power limit
