I apologize if this has been covered before, but I have a 2018 Silverado with a backup camera in the tailgate handle and would like to add a backup camera on the back of my trailer. This leads to a few questions:

1)Wire or wireless? Any opinions?

2)As far as display, should I get a small monitor or can it be hooked up somehow with the screen for the tailgate camera?

I see lots of options on Amazon at very reasonable prices, but has anyone done something like this that has feedback as to what is a good or bad setup? Thanks.

What’s the scoop on the 442?  Here’s our F85 (with the front 442 emblem). We inherited it when my father in law passed away in August.

Cool car!

Are you asking what the 442 moniker means?

When the Oldsmobile 442 was introduced in 1964, it stood for a four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhaust.

Looks like a 65:

1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 4-4-2

Comments: Oldsmobile finally got the 4-4-2 package right for 1965. They eliminated four door models and made it optional on all two door F-85s and Cutlass models. The previous engine was replaced with a new 400 cid engine, generating 345bhp and 440lb-ft. The name now signified the 400 cid engine, 4 barrel carb, and dual exhausts. The package included heavy duty issue shock absorbers and springs, battery, clutch, front and rear stabilizer bars, fat tires, and 4-4-2 badges. Marketing was much more youthful and organized, and sales improved to 25,003. Critics pronounced the 4-4-2 as one of the best handling of the intermediate muscle cars and an all around balanced performer.

Production:
Holiday 2D Hardtop: 21,535
Convertible: 3,468

Engines:
400 V8 345 bhp @ 4800 rpm, 440 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm.

Performance:
400/345: 0-60 in 5.5 sec, 1/4 mile in 15.0 sec @ 98 mph.

I should have been more specific. Lol. Asking if the OP had a 442 because of his name.

No problem, I am full of useless information that I will share when opportunity arises?.

Yes,I have a few 442's.

Nice. I like wheelies.

BTW I think the hp/ tq numbers are a bit underated.

Either way check how low the rpm at peak torque (3200)

Recently ordered from Amazon and installed the Furrion Vision S7 Wireless Backup System to my 35’ travel trailer ( distance from camera to dash-mounted monitor ~50’). I am using the external monitor that comes with it. Don’t think it will work with OEM back-up camera. Easy install, works great but pricey.
