gt tangerine Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Does anyone have the new off road assist steps on their T1? gm shows a new picture and style for 84453734. or am I just late to the party. Lol
shanemoon Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 I really like these new ones. They're very low profile and look great. Wanted to buy a set....I thought they only made them on the Sierra and was going to concede to having Sierra stamped on them. The Sierra ones are 84630474. If these are the Silverado ones with the different stamp, even better.
OliverDennis52 Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 I have them on my Sierra, came as an LPO (dealer installed) option from the factory. I really like them, low profile and easy entry/exit. Coating seems very durable and similar to the spray in bedliner. 2
gt tangerine Posted January 10, 2021 Author Posted January 10, 2021 Picked them up Friday night. Very happy with them. Only problem no mounting bolts or anything. Hopefully I can order the mounting hardware through gm.
kpromero Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 are those the off road or high clearance steps? Trying to figure which ones are going to be installed on my truck when it comes. Option on mine says off road and I saw some others with the high clearance option. Not sure which ones are which but I saw these at the dealership and was told they would be the ones on mine.

The ones on my sierra pictured above are the high clearance and are different than the ones you posted. 1

Could not find photos of the difference. My options had off road steps.

kpromero Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Found another truck with the off road black assist steps option and a photo of it.
SILVER SLED Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I like them but they are pricey. And I would imagine the rough texture grips well but would have to be power washed clean, don't think they would wipe off well.
KADE206 Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Stumbled onto this thread. I just installed a $200 set of eBay steps this week and they look an awful lot like these new gm steps. No logo of course, the brackets seem to sit a little lower and the texture seems lighter on mine but the cost is a big win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MG386 Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Love my new off road steps. I bought from a guy locally taking his off. They are more than 2" better ground clearance than the stock ones that came on my 2020 AT4Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk 1
gt tangerine Posted January 23, 2021 Author Posted January 23, 2021 Here are mine installed, bought off a guy locally too who took them off. Still unsure if I like them but whatever. I have all the M8 bolts torqued to 18ftlbs but for some reason when I step on them I can still see them move. I’m 190 pounds. When I step on my dads 6” flat boards on his 2020 I don’t notice the same movement.

I have a 2020 trail boss but the GmParts folk say they don't fit the 2020 model year, what could they have changes in one year to say that. Will these fit a 2020 without modifications to the frame. Thanks for any responses.
