So I won over my neighbor, went and got himself a 6.2 after drooling over mine and did a muffler swap on his exhaust.  This question pertains to his setup, and I've tried searching for an answer but cant seem to find a solid consensus so wanted to ask members here.

The exhaust screens and drone, does covering them with clamps/exhaust foil help drone at all?  I keep reading a mixed bag of responses.  I would logically assume it does, but wanted to ask the members who have covered the screens if it helped or not? specific to the 6.2

The 6.2 has normal glass pack shaped resonators at the tailpipes, not the mesh that 5.3 trucks have.

Can anything be done to the resonators? or is it simply keep them or remove them?

Pretty sure they are a flow-thru design so won't rob any HP, just cut back on drone.  I would leave them alone myself.

No cheap hacks for them, it’s either keep em or cut em out.

I put the GM catback on, gets rid of the resonators, and the stupid flappers.

But on a basic muffler swap, I’d probably leave the resonators in place. You’d have quite the patchwork exhaust otherwise.
