I am about to be the owner of a 2021 GMC 1500 AT4 in Satin Steel Metallic, carbon pro edition, 3.0L Duramax. I have a Lomax bedcover already here and ventshades. Dealer will install front leveling kit to it. I Will also be adding tint to windows, ceramic coating, probably going to go with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

was wondering what are some tips and tricks that I should know about? Thanks

Welcome! One of my best buddies bought a Silverado just before me in Satin Steel. I really love that color. Nice choice!

The best advice I can think of is make your truck your own and don't let anyone tell you what you should and shouldn't like. There's a great thread in the Mods section right now about affordable mods to get you started.

Me mindful of your rear sliding window as they're prone to leak. So far, I've been lucky with mine. Consider changing out your Ranchero shocks for Bilsteins if you do a fair amount of off-roading. 2021 is the first year for wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay which should be pretty handy. I'm not very familiar with the 3.0 engine other than its excellent fuel mileage so maybe some 3.0 guys can step in with specific advice there.

Or any amount of driving for that matter. I have the Rancho’s with my Z71 pkg. and they are the suck. Rear end hop is terrible.

I would second the Bilsteins, had them on previous trucks. Eibach and Fox are other good options I’ve heard, but I’ve never used those.

Welcome!

Thanks so far, for the advice. Did not know the shocks on it were not great and will look into that.

Any tricks also that someone may not know about that you can do with them? Last 4 trucks were F150’s so GM product is pretty new to me.

Meh, I am on the highway 99% of the time and I can't tell a bit of difference after installing the Bilsteins. The rear hops a little less going across bridges and railroad crossings. That's about it. They were a waste of money in my opinion, unless I did more offroading in which case they would be really good.

Bluegrass, that hasn’t been my experience so far. The front Rancho struts have done a decent job, but the rear end dances around like a ballerina. Even my wife has had issues on certain occasions. Could also be some of our roads here that resemble washboards from years of frost heave.

Kpromero, this also my first GM product as well; all my of my previous trucks were Fords (3 F150 & 1 Ranger). I’ve found quite a bit of information on this site about modding these trucks if that’s the kind of info you’re after.

Sounds like you got a great plan, my only tip is that you mentioned Ceramic, do this after you add everything that you can think of that uses 3m automotive tape cause it won’t stick after you do ceramic.

Have a detail shop doing the coating and will debadge what I want before doing so.
