Can you tell me how to remove this? I bought a new one. Crossing fingers I don’t have to tear the console apart.

I have two 2-USB outlets that I'm going to put into my center console.  Could use whatever guidance and tricks you learned from replacing this one.

I don’t have a pic but in the recessed area there are 4 torx head screws. Remove them. Then lift the rear panel straight up. It should come right off.

i popped mine out a couple years ago to add a light inside the "cubby hole' (my kids love it!  ha!)

as mentioned above - 4 screws and then it's just clips that hold on the piece

Looks like the screws are inside that back pocket.  I thought I had to tear it apart more than that.  Think I'll be doing my USB project this weekend.  Thanks for the pointers.

Any other tricks that I should know about?

Once you removed those four torx screws, how did you actually get that back panel to pop off? I have a 2018 with center console and the back of it looks just like yours. I want to replace the 12v outlet with a hardwired 12v usb fast charger. I removed those 4 screws but I can’t get that back panel to budge. Did you use a pry tool? Any tips you can share will be greatly appreciated.

I remember something strange like having to lift straight up on the panel or something like that.

2016 Yukon.   I followed above to remove 4 screws and pull the back cover straight up and it popped right off.   It was a bit sticky to had to make a fist and hit up from the cubby.
