Does anyone else get a clunk from their transfer case when shifting or in reverse? My transfer case clunks pretty bad shifting into and out of park, and when feathering the throttle in reverse. I have a 2020 2500 4x4 LTZ with the Duramax

My 2015 and now my 2020 had/has an occasional clunk when coming to stop. Never had any issues with the drivetrain, so I did not worry about it. Clunk is identical between the 2 trucks, so I am thinking it has something to do with Allison or torque converter.

Maybe it's this...Part of me wants to laugh, but I guess it is possible. I will have to pay attention to my fuel gauge next time it happens.

  The sad part is that sensor would have no issues probably for the life of the truck if it wasn't for the crap emissions they force down its throat. It certainly makes sense that a sensor that is just so clogged up with a thick layer of exhaust particles is going to have a tougher time sensing as well as one that is clean.

  I really get a kick out of all these old boomers saying they don't like all the technology in the new trucks and they prefer the 20-30 year old trucks or the base work truck models. I bet they yell at the neighborhood kids to get off their grass too. LOL!

  And a 1500 with a 3.0 can achieve over 30 when driven for maximum fuel economy. An equivalent one ton today with a 6.6 Duramax can do just as good as those old trucks while being heavier and with vastly increased towing capacity. I'm really failing to see your point here other than you continually insist on talking about old, non-GM vehicles and family stories in EVERY dang thread.
