Just to let everyone here know this has been an ongoing problem since 2014!

So if anyone is thinking will the 2022 models be different, only if the 5.3 and 6.2 are not offered!

This is whats left of my 2014 Silverado. Engine grenaded at 68k miles.

2021 Elevation 8500 miles.....

started riding really bad and throwing esc codes amongst others....

towed to dealer.....

dealer says it’s lifter issue that was reported allot in the 19-20 models

beyond pissed....this is rediculous.

anyone else experience this issue, and can it cause any long term reliability issues down the line?

this is way out of hand, people on here like to argue , all 3 have issues gm ram ford ... that is true to the point, GM with this lifter problem this is not normal at all, this forum is full of this problem, I know 2 people with gm truck both engine blow up because this at around 5k miles ,this is crazy that gm is not taking any action to address this issue ..... im starting to get nervous about my at4 , I might end up canceling the order ...

Cancel you order if you want but keep in mind there are lots of trucks that this hasn't happened.

2021 Silverado Trail Boss - 15000 miles.  Engine started bucking, mis-firing, codes, etc. Took it to the dealer (2 miles). They indicated lifter failure. They had the truck for 4 days. Replaced all lifters etc.  Running fine now.

Some of the rags I read say GM is losing their reliability rating. Transmission and engine problems. 14-18s used are on top of the list for do not buy. It pays to do research. Even the mighty Tacoma has bad years. The most reliable lately. I’m not saying, guess. If I was still buying new trucks every two years, I’d buy based on price. With extended warranty.
