Delivery on truck parts

Is there still shipping delays and parts availability issues going on because of COVID?

Ordered some Rough Country HD2 running boards that took over a month and half to finally get.

Also ordered a Borla S-Type exhaust that seems to keep getting delayed from SS-exhaust.com they had a good price offering no sales tax which saves me a good amount being in California. Been about a month and half and now shipping will possibly be pushed back to July after they have been telling me first week of June for shipment.

I ordered my Gator SFX Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover on May 10th. Just got an update from Real Truck that is now telling me it may ship between July 2nd to the 7th. My RC rear fender liners took 3 weeks..... Just a fact of the times right now I guess.

There are definitely parts availability issues in the performance market. Shipping isn't really an issue that I've experienced. I was able to order from Real Truck in May and get items in two days..... we're talking nerf bars and tonneau cover.

For your order in particular I'd look at the vendor. Not that there is an issue with them (I may be speaking out my butt; I don't have any experience with that vendor), but in my experience when I see a seller sell at those discounted rates it is usually reliant on volume to get those prices. So they sort of hang onto your order until they can get the 10 or so other orders (for instance) necessary to get that volume price. You might be waiting for other buyers to join your buying group.

Maybe call other vendors (real truck, etc) and see what the typical fulfillment time lines on Borla exhaust and see if maybe you have been waiting too long.

Well good news, after getting an update that the tonneau cover wouldn't ship till July I got another email with a Fedex tracking number and it will be here on June 12th. Not bad, the only thing that took longer to ship than this was the package that sat at the hub in Chicago for 4 1/2 weeks.....

I placed an order for some truck parts over a month ago. Still waiting on fulfillment. No idea when it'll be available. It is what it is. I'm not complaining at all. Also seeing the same issues with firearms parts and accessories. Place an order for something with Optics Planet that says it'll ship June 1. At the end of May the ship date gets moved to July 7. Oh well. Just gotta be patient. It is what it is. It's not like businesses had a meeting en masse and all decided to screw customers by delaying their shipping.
