Ive looked around and found plenty of what NOT to do for lifting/supporting a lifted truck, but wanted to see what others here use or have done for lifting their lifted silverado.

And also what others are doing for replacing the factory under bed spare with a 35" spare.

So my truck has the 6" lift on it and havent really needed to lift it but once or twice to do a tire rotation(which was a PITA) I currently have floor jacks which have worked, but very sketchy since i have to stack up like 3 or 4 2x4 blocks on the jack to give me the height needed. Is there a recommended floor jack for home and high lift jack for in the truck that others are using?

Then on the spare tire, i havent dropped my factory one yet, but what is everyone  doing in order to carry a full size 35" spare? I heard few years ago when i did the lift that it wouldnt fit in the spare location, but is that true even with any modifications? I dont want to loose cargo space in the bed as i tend to carry and haul often, just looking for suggestions and ideas.

Only way to know if a 35 will fit under the bed is two take a tape measure down there and check.

On my last very tall truck I made a set of platforms out of a whole bunch of 2 x 4 pieces that raised the jack and stands up enough. Heavy as hell but strong and worked.

I can be of some assistance here...

I ran a 4" lift with 35s in my 2020 silverado. This 2021 sierra is 35s with 6...

So a 35" WILL fit under in the stock locations. On my silverado i used my stock rim with a 35 and it fit perfectly. No issues.

This sierra i cant use anything under 20" due to the lift kit. So i got a match (off brand and super cheap) size and offset wheel with matching (used) 35" tire for my spare. For me spares basically to help get home on vaca and everything.

I havent had a chance to see if the tire fits because on my 2015 when i ran a matching rim/ tire the bore of the rim was too wide for the stock spare tire lift mechanism to grip the rim and lift it. Needed to be like 1" wider. So i just left it in the bed.

I also run a full size floor jack. I keep the handle under the back seat and then the jack in the very very front of the bed secured with a ratchet strap.

I also keep a plastic tote of tools and other necessity incase im ever stranded. Been running this setup for years now.

Only thing i dont like is the spare in the bed cause it takes a lot of room up. But everything's also under a tonneau cover

yea im running the factory rims with 35's on them. And since it may be time to get new tires this year, im looking for options on carrying the spare and appropriate tools. I have a toolbox, so i can always carry the jack in there( it would have to be a small floor jack or bottle jack since i have the small thin low profile box, mainly to carry straps, jumpers and few tools.

Once the weather is dryer down here, ill def get under and measure the spare location. Plan was to buy 1 used factory rim to match and have the spare tire mounted and stored underneath if possible.
