Overheating?

In the 4 Wheel & Off Road 2004 4x4 of the Year test, both of the GM inline engines overheated. Anyone ever had this happen?

Both of the GMs overheated. I didn't read close enough, the Isuzu has the 5.3, not the 4.2 I assumed it had.

Yeah, i read that too, that is quite uncharacteristic of inline designs, so i was surprised and a bit disappointed, but i am sure GM will fix it- and i also always modify all of my vehicles to cool better then stock after i buy them anyway. But interesting to read that. J.D.

The article is in the February 2004 Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road magazine. You should still be able to find it at newsstands and book stores.
