Blinkers not flashing, sometimes

I click the stalk and sometimes nothing, sometimes it works, sometimes it works but clicks more slowly. Never a solid light.   What are some possible culprits ?

What's the voltage at the sockets?

Years ago I had an issue with the blinkers getting very slow.  It was the signal (blinker) switch.  Back then it was only a few $$ for a new one.  Plugged it in.  Done.  I'd have that blinker switch checked

You mean the relay underneath the dash ?
