Im not really sure how to word my question properly so Ill do my best.

I came out of a 2011 Tahoe LT 4wd. The Ride quality was pretty damn good. I never had any complaints. I just Got into a 2017 Sierra Denali 4WD. I guess part of my expected the ride quality to be pretty good considering its a denali. But I also understand its on a truck platform with leaf springs etc. Unfortuantly, I dont know what the ride quality is supposed to feel like. It has 61K miles on it. When should I expect to replace struts? Should it be fairly smooth, or feel more like a truck. Its pretty stiff IMO.

Welcome to the site.

First, make sure the Magnaride shocks are still present, and if so look for leaks. Second, make sure they have not "frozen" up, which will lead to a very harsh ride.

Hate to say it, but you're gonna have to go to a dealer or find a reputable shop which knows how to work on the magnarides.

On our 16 Tahoe, the rear shocks failed (froze in place), so the ride was very rough, but don't think you can visibly tell by looking at them.
