2014 Silverado cruise control shuts off when using turn signals and my displays on my dash flicker

I was driving home down the interstate at 70 MPH and was going to change lanes. I turned my signal on and my cruise shut off and my displays on my dash flickered. What is the deal with these trucks. Today I was getting off the highway turned my signal on and noticed my radio flashed a couple times, made it to the front of my house getting ready to turn into my drive my truck just died. No power no nothing. So there I was in the middle of the road with a dead truck. Waited 5 mins power came back. Started the truck up and pulled into my driveway.  Please help. I am to the point of selling it or trading it in on something else. This truck has been. Nothing but problems for me.

Hi Chad, my truck was doing the same thing last year, the dealer ended up reprogramming the power steering module, but now it’s doing similar stuff.  Any update on your truck?

How old is your battery? When you waited 5 min. then it started again could be a loose connection, check battery, and grounds.

Check the bulbs, maybe a filament from the signal lamp broke and is back feeding the parking lamp circuit.

These trucks are known to have electrical ground issues.  Mine is doing same type of thing.  Hope to clean the ground wires this weekend and see if it helps.  Check YouTube for "how to's".  Apparently there are ground posts on right and left side of dash near speakers, as well as multiple grounds under hood and on frame.

First thought is, how old is your battery?  Second, you need to put your bi-directional scan tool on it to look for parasitic loss and any internal BCM codes.  Do check your cables and grounds as well.

 

My Daddy taught me to never buy a first year model.  Let other folks work out all the kinks with the factory.
