what is normal oil pressure for a 2015 5.3 ltr silverado. Idle and driving

When it's first started its at 40 psi.

When at idle and warmed up its around 28 to 30 psi. When driving its at 40 psi and slightly goes up upon normal acceleration.  It has a little over 100,000 miles.

20 or so at idle, around 40 at freeway speeds, around 60 or so at WOT (hard pull).

As measured with a test block at the filter pad. DIC gauges are only approximate. My LV3 runs about 35 (DIC) hot idle. 38 to 42 speed dependent down the road and pegs the gauge over 3,000 rpm WOT. 

 

Hot oil pressure minimums.

22 psi @ 1,000 rpm

30 psi @ 2,000 rpm

33 psi @ 3,000 rpm

LV1, LV3, L83, L86 and L96.
