debating

installed 2" drop shackes but now im debating if i should do a 2/4 drop instead. not trying to cut it, all i want is something simple and clean.

I like the look of a 2" rear drop.  I added drop shackles on my RST.

Looks good. Maybe an inch lower on the front if you want to keep the back where it is. Otherwise, 2/4 would probably look pretty sweet too.

Did you have to do any headlight adjustments after the shackles were installed?

Yes a little. Go on an even slab against a brick wall and use mortar joints as a guide. I use my local post office. You'll have to spin the shim around 180° between the bottom leaf and axle to get the correct pinion angle and prevent vibration.
