What’s this part??

Hey y’all! I was vacuuming leaves/pine straw from under the hood of my 2017 AT and this came out attached to the hose. Came from the passenger side up near the firewall but I couldn’t see a spot where it would go. Any ideas??

Look in the corner between your firewall and the fender.

 

The rubber piece sits in this gap, on mine it appears to be able to flap back and forth, possibly a dust cap.

In the last picture, i manually flipped it out. It actually sits flush in the gap so you can't see it normally, but you can reach in and feel it fits snug but somewhat loose in the gap behind the firewall. Hope this helps.
