An example. On Netflix "Downfall The Case Against Boeing"

We are surrounded by liars.

Another example https://www.dailysabah.com/environment/2018/08/05/national-geographic-admits-lying-to-its-readers-about-the-dying-polar-bear

Because of the lying and the lawyers involvement we are fighting a loosing battle.

If you do some research, lying has become the norm.

Lying doesn't have a position. It has an agenda. It's the human condition. Romans 3:4 KJV

let God be true, but every man a liar;

Every is without exception. Takes effort to be truthful ALWAYS and still we fail. :banghead:

Some people try very hard to resist lying and some embrace it for?

POWER> PROFIT>PRESTIGE.

THAT is the point of the materials dyier2 references.

Sometimes today truths by experts are tomorrow’s lies. What makes them a lie is the person knowing the truth tells it. I could name a few recent examples. But we all know them even if some can’t see the forest from the trees.

Humans lie, it's our nature.  Doesn't change facts or verifiable truth.  Left, right, has nothing to do with human nature.  Why rule of law is only thing that has provided any fleeting peace on earth to date.

Since many of us are being swayed by ideological disinformation without knowing all the facts lying is very effective.

Commentary on any internet board like this one shows that it's effective.

The Boeing debacle happened because the FAA gave aircraft builders and airlines control of regulation instead of US GOV regulating. A conservative idea to make the gears of commercial aviation work better. Same idea as trickle down economics.

Works for a few for a while.  I flew professionally for 30+ years for a major carrier so I am speaking from experience.

It's amazing to me that many attack the very government that tries to protect them but when corporations screw us we blame the government.

In  combat it's called "target ID".

The war for the latest generation had a lawyer on a sat-phone or other device to decide who to kill. When I fought we just killed and figured it out later. My point is most of Americans have never been in combat and the latest generation had their hands held to decide who to kill.  So politically a large portion of US citizens have been deceived and that amplified by digital communication.  From comments I see here and common now they decide to fratricide those who they believe are enemies when your target ID is wrong.   It's exactly what Russia has tried but in this case Ukrainians have beat them at their own game with truth because they are united and focused on truth.  I am glad because many Americans think their fellow Americans are the enemy.  Ukraine is doing our god given task of fighting lies right now and its kinetic.   Americans are misinformed ( mostly by choice because of bias) and mostly couch cowboys. Never served anything but themselves and $$.

There's where lies and disinfo get us.

Trickle down does work. The Reagan area is a good example. Same as the Trump. A good example of too much government control was the Jimmy Carter area and 13 percent interest on my first house. I remember on the nightly news they would call it the pain index. One other example is now. We give up our oil independence and Russia prospers and invades. We moved from New Jersey to Texas 40 years ago because of constants on business and high taxes. My property taxes are still less than in New Jersey 40 years ago. Our business thrives here beyond our wildest expectations. I lived it on the business side. I know the difference between constraint and freedom. I lived in both.

I'm a right or wrong guy.

We see things differently custom. I see Boeing changing from a safety mind set to a profit mode after the merger with McDonnell Douglas. That company killed over 300 people and got away with it. They got away with it due to lawyers in my opinion.

This has happened before, the Pinto gas tanks for example. I was trying to point out that the masses are exploited for profit.

If anything needed government over site airlines would be it. Just like food. The people who do this job need to be well trained and paid to resist kick backs.

Weather man says, "It's raining". That's a report and not a useful one as I already know.

Weather man says, "It will rain in half an hour" that is a forecast. IF he is right it is both news and useful.

Weather man says, "The rain today was caused by a iceberg that fell into the Mississippi due to mouse farts in landfills to close to the river." Is a guy with an agenda. Like a sick polar bears reason for being skinny.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. If I can't tell it is not worth my consideration. I don't have to digest information just because it's put out there.

We don’t disagree. The PEOPLE can change the problem of profit over truth and the citizen.
