Hey all, I currently have an 2020 Elevation, X31 package, and I really like it.  I have been eyeing an AT4 since it's just a "nicer" looking elevation, suspension a bit better, interior a bit better, etc. but feel like trading in an Elevation for an AT4 doesn't necessarily make sense, I may be better off throwing a true lift kit on it (vs the 2in leveling kit I have now), as they are very similar unless I went with a much higher end AT4.  Guess I'm looking at the ones in the low 50s, which seems to be just leather, wireless charging, back window, etc.

Did anyone go Elevation to AT4, and was it worth it?  I do get GMS pricing, which helps a BIT, but...

I went from a 2020 Elevation, X31 like yours to a 2022 AT4 LTD.  I wanted to move to the diesel and get the leather seats and some of the the other features that were not on my Elevation.  Adaptive Cruise, Blind spot, wireless charging, etc.  What I  expected was a similar riding truck but what I actually got was a truck that rides 10X better.  I am not sure if its the factory 2" lift, but this truck is so much better.  It doesn't have that wavy feeling when going over bumps....it is that good.  I sold my 2020 last summer and had to wait about 5 months for an allocation and build of the AT4.  I have no regrets at all.  Love the truck.

FWIW.  I installed the factory 2” lift in my RST and the ride quality was better than my non-Z71 ride.  Less wavy and the back didn’t go sideways when going over bumps.

Must have changed out your shocks too as the Rancho's are much of the issue with how they ride

Was you 2020 Elevation on the standard 20's and the AT4 LTD on the standard 18's?

No, my Elevation and AT4 both rode on the 20" rims.  I ordered the AT4 with the less aggressive tires and the 20" shoes.  I took the stock tires and threw them on a set of take off elevation rims as I really like the black rims.  I run Cooper snows in the winter on the stock rims.

Guess that in and of itself is a pretty big difference.  So, ride quality, leather (which I don't REALLY care about), what else are you finding you love vs the Elevation?

Just to be clear, I only have a ‘19 RST.  So I can’t speak on the AT4 or Elevation.

I think the things the TB/AT4 has over me is the 10 speed, hill descent control and the 2 speed transfer case.  Since you have the X31 package, you’d only be missing maybe the 10 speed (not familiar with the Sierra trans combo for ‘20).

8 speed is fine with me with the new fluid.  And I don’t envision myself needing hill descent or 4lo.

And at least for my ‘19, I don’t have the “Off-road” selectable mode, so I don’t know how much I’m missing out there.

Stuff like skid plates, wireless charging, high capacity air filter can be added after the fact.

Excluding all creature comforts and extra niceties, adding the GM 2” lift kit would give you the same setup as the AT4, ride wise (I think).

i had a 21 elevation and threw an AT4 bilstein 5100 kit on the truck with some upper control arms (3" in fr and 2"rr)......wanted an AT4 even after that for interior features as the lift itself isnt special....exterior is easy interior isnt......i waited too long and one 21 for sale I had in mine sold....the..so i went with a Ram Laramie and so far been good....

but yeah even a base AT4 is much more truck than elevation and cost isnt much more.......sure they can be optioned crazy high like anything, elevation vs AT4 no comparison imo

all the 22 AT4 were missing heated wheel, seats, etc to be retrofitted later and didnt want an in complete truck so went to Ram......got a good deal considering.....i would consider new gen 22 GMCs later DTL

i still have my 22 silverado 2500 and the ram so have good comparison driving both trucks......but silverado has to go

22 refresh looks really nice in GMC
