Drivers side blows cold and passenger side blows hot

I changed the blend door actuator on the passenger side and it is still blowing hot. Any ideas what else I could try?

There is a 3rd blend door if you have the dual temp option.

On my 08, Duramax LTZ, remove dash air bag and you can see the actuator.

I got code: B0423.

The GM part from the sdealer was expensive. Dealer quoted over $700 to replace.

I bought the GM part for like $145 and had a shop repalce for 1 hour labot at $110.

 

SInce I did not want to mess with the air bag.

The door actuator for the driver's side is the one on the bottom of the HVAC case, the passenger side is on top behind the air bag if you have the dual zone option.  When you change an actuator always check to make sure the door moves freely.  Otherwise it is posible you have a bad HVAC controller.
