Nice pics that’s some snow. Once you start plowing with the bumper it’s all over. Did you get stuck right there?

It's the fall snows up here. They are light and fluffy so it will push through. As we get colder and the intense solar energy up here melts during the day the ice and snow become a challenge.  I did not get stuck in that.  I have been stuck once with ice under 3 " of snow and the stock tube steps holding me up so the tires were not making good contact. The mud here when it melts or heavy rains we had this past summer will stick a chevy bad.  I carry 720lbs in bed to balance out the light design.

How do you think my steps will do in snow? I’ve never had this style and just put them on so this winter will be my first.

Those have less area and should not be like skids on a Huey like mine are.  Beautiful truck!  Where are you located?

Colorado, Sangre de Cristo mountains 9000' at the driveway.

That’s up there holy cow. We did a trip to Rocky Mountain national park and I remember getting to 12,200 ft. Running around in the rocks seemed like running a marathon.

"Running" like jogging?  Dude if you aren't acclimated you don't have enough red blood cells to trap that lack of partial pressure of oxygen needed.  My running days ended after age 39 when combat injuries made their presence known. I limp and use a good walking stick when I hike but I keep movin the pork....LOL

I love the L3B 2.7L turbo up here because its just awesomeness idling along at 1500 RPM. When I have the hearing aids in and window down you can hear that turbo working extremely smoothly.

Not super far, but we ran from the road stop area probably 100yrds up this slight slope to some very large rocks that were the tallest points we seen. They were probably 40’ big chunks but still not easy to get to the top. But man I was very winded and it was tough to catch my breath and I am in good cardiovascular shape.

We are going to start having some 02 from wally world on hand for flatlander guests. Staying hydrated a big deal too. Enjoy that 2500!

I've had the same problem since it was new. It never acts up when at the dealer (no surprise). I do notice it happens most often when the OAT is over 90 degrees and more often than not on the driver's side. It hasn't occurred since the weather cooled off. This becomes a safety issue as if they do not deploy, it is a LONG drop to the ground! I've almost fallen twice and the wife once. If it is happening this often, you would think GM would take notice.

So, GM got involved and the local dealer contacted me and set up an appointment. Yesterday, I had it in for service. They couldn't duplicate (not surprised!) nor were there any codes found. They applied Bulletin #22-NA-169 to update the step control module. We wait and see. BTW, the same issue has happened when pass. door is opened and drivers door opened seconds later. This was prior to the update, so we'll see if it fixed the issue.

Greetings all,

I have a 2016 high country with the same issue.  I've replaced both motors and both switches with no difference.  I'm in about 1200-1300 now.  unable to find anyone with a solution.  I've gone to a Chevy dealership and was told they couldn't help me with motor replacement and to just get rid of these steps.   If anyone has any info I'm all ears.
