Wheel Spacers

Alright here is the question will 1/4" wheel spacers allow '93 steel wheels to work on a 2002 silverado. Of course the wheels are six lug and everything works except they don't clear the calipers. So I was seeing if anyone knows if these things work before I buy them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the wheel needs to be a bigger diameter. I wouldn't put spacers on, that's putting more leverage on the front end parts than they were designed for, especially the lugs. Are these wheels winter wheels, if not what's so special about them? I can just imagine the lugs breaking and the wheel passing you going down a hill.

Yeah they are winter wheels and I came across them for free so I want to try and get them to work. The website that sells the spacers says they are used to clear disk brakes with steel wheels, so I don't know it is only a two wheel drive truck and I don't do much hot rodding with it in the winter for sure up in WI that wouldn't be advised.
