The other night, while backing up, I accidentally hit a small pole. I was going pretty slow so it did not leave a huge dent, but I am a little concerned. It left a small ding, but also moved the bumper in so it is sitting a little crooked. The left side moved in about half an inch and the right side came out a little. I might need to attach more pictures, but I have attached what I recently took. I don't mind the little ding, but I would like to see if there is a way to straighten out the bumper. Is this possible? Does this mean that a bracket broke? Did I cause a lot of damage to something that made the bumper move like this.

You can stop by local body shop, have them check it out . If nothing broken , you could live with it or replace it.

Thinking it just shifted on the brackets that hold it on the truck.

Did the same thing with my 2008 (minus dent), took it to the local dealerships body shop and they were able to put the bumper back better than it came from the factory.

The bumper bolts are loose or slotted enough to adjust the bumper placement.  You can loosen it and adjust it.

This would not have caused any damage to the frame or anything like that right? The worst thing that could have happened is damage to the bracket, right?

The frame is about 3 times stronger than that bumper and brackets, you're good there.

You can smack these bumpers with a rubber mallet hard enough and put a bend in them.
