I am looking to get a scanner for my 2017 silverado that you can reset throttle body, etc. I was looking into the Icarsoft cr max. I did come across Launch 129X and 129E. What do you guys use as a diy scanning tool with the features to reset throttle body after cleaning it? Thank you

I have a launch scan tool, I forget the extra number though. It might be that 129 or similar. It's a touch screen one that can also do ABS functions and airbag lights I think. Never looked to see if it does throttle body resets though.

HPTuners is cheap scanner...

have you looked at AUtel? or Bosch ADS 625?

 

i believe tb can be reset thru a physical proceedure, not software based reset

I use an Actron CP9660 PocketScan Plus ABD/OBD II/CAN scan tool for my 2017

 

Was under $100 from Amazon
