Hands free calling

I put a new battery in my 2017 GMC Denali pickup and now when I say a command the voice says it cannot be completed at this time. The Bluetooth works fine and it all worked fine before the battery change. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I did a lot of reading and did some things on the screen and also on the phone. I have no idea which thing did the trick but hands-free is working again. Thanks

Trace back your steps. That may help someone else running into same situation. Glad it worked out for you.

Sometimes deleting the phone from the head unit and then doing a bluetooth re-pair it will solve these issues.

Thank you. That may have been what fixed it. I did several things and not sure which got it going again. Smile

As suggested, I will recap what I did. Some of the things I did to get hands-free calling to work again was to reconnect the iPhone Bluetooth to the truck, in the settings menu on the phone I turned on share my contacts (or something like that) with the truck, load contacts. I don’t think load contacts did anything. And, I don’t remember what else, but do remember that at first I could not see a list of the contacts from my phone on the truck display when I touched the contacts button but I can now. So, I assume that part was necessary. Thanks.
