Hi guys. I own a 2019 Sierra AT4. My dilemma is the optional factory 'assist steps' (#84630474) I've seen on AT4's later than mine...mostly on 21's and above. Pretty sure I've seen them on a 2020 AT4 as well. Will they fit a '19? Everywhere I ask people tell me they're "pretty sure" they'll fit but I'd like to know for certain as most places offer no refund, so I'd be stuck with them. Some fitment charts say they won't fit. My guess is that they do, but weren't even an option until 2020 and kicking me a "won't fit" because of this. Much appreciation in advance.

I don't either. They are pretty sharp looking IMO I'm surprised nobody has tried this before. $1k  is hard to drop on a chance (however slight) they won't work. Thanks for the reply.

I have these on my Silverado and people ask me all the time where i got them from. I bought mine at a Chevy dealer and got the ones for the extended cab but I have a double cab so they exchanged them with no problems or questions asked. Buy them from a dealer and not mail order and you should have no problems if they don't fit.

Same generation, no changes to the underside, should bolt right up.

My wife and I like wide steps, we're getting old!

This guy got them for his 2020 which is also listed as not compatible.

No idea why they say not compatible unless it's because GM didn't bother to go back and bolt them on to older trucks. The cabs are the same for the T1's and all the threaded inserts are already in the cab floor. You just have to pop the plastic plugs off the ones you need to use and thread the bolts into them to bolt the brackets up. I wanted a set of those steps until I saw the price! I went with a $260 set that tuck up high but have drop down bars to protect the body. They're aluminum so they're light as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I think the collective thought in the thread is that there's no reason why they shouldn't. I will most likely get a set but be on the lookout to score some a little cheaper.

The only thing I thought of is if your truck is a diesel. I know the DEF tank is on the driver side and I saw something about different brackets for the diesel.

I was at the dealership this morning and there was one at4 on the lot with those wide steps and they look better than I thought on the truck not bad at al all, I might keep mine after all

Ok so if anyone reads this my question has been answered. They do fit. I have a pair on my 2019 Sierra AT4. Bolted up no problem.

I removed the wide style on my '20 AT4 and installed the factory "high clearance" steps posted above with no issue.  I picked them up for $300 locally removed from a brand new at4.

be the guinea pig man, 98%+ they will work and you'll sell em real easy if not as there's nothing better, I've now seen mine in snow, mud, combined frozen etc. and they are awesome, the grippy stuff and how solid these are, combined with their fitment to body and clearance makes them in a different league and worth the money imo, they happen to look incredible too, they aren't lightweight, I'd have to guess 25-30 lbs a side, quality stuff, best side step I've seen outside of some custom aluminum extruded grip strut type steps I've seen on oilfield trucks, anything works if there's no snow/mud etc. but most are slippery hazards in that stuff, these can play for real work, and don't forget they are there when jumping out, that grip stuff can give good road rash to the back of your calf, it's a self trainer and you learn the lesson just after you put them on 😉

also, there's multiple locations on the board for the 3 brackets to move to, to align with different trucks frame points etc., so they designed them to fit several trucks

Frame points? Do these actually bolt to the frame and not the underside of the cab?

    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
    • Point of the post sir was that while both wages and cost are rising EVERYWHERE; the cost is rising faster EVERYWHERE than the ability to buy EVERYWHERE. We're not going down the location rabbit hole. I'm aware of what economic migration is. I've lived in four states including Texas.   It's what "Purchasing Power" means.   I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling what the government, your government, data shows.   It wasn't an argument. It wasn't a suggestion. It was a statement of FACT. You are absolutely entitled to your own opinion. Your not entitled to your own facts. If you and I were, they wouldn't be facts.    fact /făkt/   noun Knowledge or information based on real occurrences. • Probably a one and done post, but do you have a CEL on the dash? Was having issues with my transmission, fortunately only a week, and it turned out to be the transmission harness. Valve body was in good shape, so new harness with all the sensors attached, new fluid, and filter. Seems to have worked so far?
    • Two interesting tidbits of information which are NOT related were just released.   One, regarding the possible thrust bearing issues / engine failures with the 3.0. Demonworks just did a segment in which they believe they may have found "a" or "the" cause of thrust bearing failures: A missing thrust bearing. If the engine doesn't have all its thrust bearings from the factory, the missing bearing can cause extra play which ends up destroying a nearby thrust bearing which then sends metal through the engine.       Of other importance, Lake Speed Jr released some interest information regarding oil weight selection for the 3.0. Comparisons of:   AcDelco 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w30 Mobil 1 ESP x4 0w40. Mobil Delvac 5w40   Spoiler alert: The Mobils are PAO Ester -base and the ACDelco is a Group III base. Mobil shows lower wear in their tests for similar weights. Additive packages between 20-30-40 weight ESP's appear to be the same, but only 0w20 is Dexos D licensed. Wear is even more reduced with 30 and 40 weight ESP although all perform very well and resist shear and provide very similar viscosities within temperature operating ranges in the 3.0.   There are even more surprises, so just go watch it.
