Look up your truck's window sticker

Must stop at a certain model year.  My 2015 won't come up in edge or chrome on PC, nor on safari or chrome on ios.  Just thought I'd try, I still have mine in the glovebox anyway, thanks for posting!!

Trying this now with the links and the tips outlined, and still no joy. How many years back does it go? I have my original 2014 Silverado sticker from brand new, but a .pdf would be nice. I can use Adobe scan, but this was easier because I don’t have to dig it out of the files in the office. I know, how lazy am I….

Nope.  In GM's system under that VIN however it will document any repairs made under warranty, so it will show the engine replacement there.

I am wanting to verify that the engine was completely replaced and not repaired. Any idea on how to get this info? I was going to use the Window Sticker to see who the original dealership was to see if they possibly could provide history.

The dealer selling it now, assuming its a GM dealer can run the VIN in the service or parts department in GM's system and it will show the warranty repairs made.  It would have the repairing dealer's name present.  And it doesn't necessarily mean that the selling dealer did the work either.  They could have bought it at So and So GMC, but had it repaired it across town or out of state at XYZ GMC.  

 

You have the VIN, just stop by the dealer and have them pull the info.  

 

If it needed an engine, it got an engine.  GM doesn't sell very many bottom end parts so if the block had a hole, it got an entire engine as GM doesn't just sell the blocks.  

 

The 6.2 failures I've seen were engine replacement worthy unless it failed a lifter or wore a cam lobe.

Something is not right with that VIN. If you try and run it on the NHTSA recall site it says it's an invalid VIN.

The VIN you posted and the one in the pic are not the same. Look at the last 3 digits.

That vin is from a branded titled truck that was salvaged in Texas on 9/20/24.Warranty is blocked.Has three open campaigns also.
